Katarina Pavičić Dokoza
Katarina Pavičić Dokoza, Ph.D., works at the Suvag Polyclinic, Zagreb, Croatia, as a children speech therapist, while also contributing to two courses at the Centre for Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb (“Work with Students with Special Educational Needs” and “Educational Integration of Children with Special Needs”).
She earned her Ph.D. degree in 2008, with the thesis “Verbotonal Method and Cochlear Implant: Acoustic Changes of the Speech Signal in Implants Made After the Optimum Age”.
Katarina Pavičić Dokoza currently heads the Department for Medical Rehabilitation of School-Age Children, and serves on the Mobile Team for teachers' education in schools that integrate children with hearing and speech difficulties.
She has co-authored two books: The Verbotonal Approach to Children with Hearing and Speech Difficulties (in Croatian) and From Difficulties to a Kaleidoscope of Possibilities (in Croatian and English).
